The fallout between former BFFs, Karan Johar and Kajol, has been in news for a while now and looks like it just got a lot worse! Apparently, the actress didn’t appreciate Karan’s decision of releasing his film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, at the same time as her husband’s directorial venture, Shivaay, which is also set to release on October 28.
A source added, “Before the event began, Karan had made it clear that he would give interviews only to Manish Paul [host of a dance reality show that he judges] by his side. He was probably expecting questions about the release date clash, and when the question was posed to him, he simply nodded. When there is no answer, there is no controversy.”
News suggests that Devgn decided to release his movie on Diwali this year, way before KJo thought of it, hence, the actress sided with the hubby dearest on this one. Insiders have said that Karan and Kajol have not spoken to each other ever since last May, when the actress didn’t wish the director on his 44th birthday. KJo is not happy about the fallout but choses to remain silent about it.
Earlier, when Devgn was asked about the clash, he said “It’s a close-knit industry and whatever issues we have with each other we should sort amongst ourselves and not harm each other’s work. But everybody wants a great release date, so they have the right to choose any date for their film. If I take it personally, it will upset me, but if I look at it from a business point of view, then it’s fair enough.” Looks like the tiff between the BFFs is no getting sorted anytime soon!
